Skyrim Dragonborn DLC

     Skyrim has new downloadable content. Bethesda studios has released new downloadable content for The Elder Scrolls V Skyrim. This amazing game has already had two amazing dlc's so far and this new one is definitely going to keep the trend going. Bethesda Kept a lot about this game quiet until it came out but they did reveal some amazing new additions to the game. For example the dragonborn dlc is going to bring us back to Morrowwind, which is where The Elder Scrolls III took place. Bethesda did an amazing job of recreating Morrowind within Skyrim, giving it the same architecture and Scenery as the previous game along with the clothes and armor of the citizens and guards withing the cities and towns. Another big thing that Bethesda released was the main villain in this new addition to the story line. the Villains name is Miraak, He is a previous dragonborn who sees you as a false profit and has risen from the grave to kill you and reclaim his tittle of dovakin ( dragonborn ). Given that He is also a dovakin he should be a very formidable opponent. I say this because by now just about everyone who owns Skyrim has probably leveled their character to the point where they can kill most of the enemies in the game with the slightest of ease. There is one last thing that Bethesda released in this dlc that had everyone drooling over this expansion is that you'll have to ability to own a dragon mount.This is the first flying mount in any of the Elder Scrolls games which should be interesting to see in Skyrim considering that the main objective of the game is to kill the dragons and absorb their souls to unlock new and more powerful shouts.

Halo 4 is Finally Here!!

     Halo 4 has finally arrived! Halo 4 dropped on November 6th and has greatly exceeded the expectations of the fans. This game has gone way beyond what anyone thought 343 was capable of doing with this tittle. The gameplay is smooth and fluent with no real flaws in how the game handles, in fact IGN gave the game a 9.8 out of 10( http://www.ign.com/games/halo-4/xbox-360-110563 ) . Halo 4 is also very ascetically pleasing, the scenery and graphics are absolutely beautiful. As you can see in the picture above there is a comparison of Halo Reach which was the previous game and Halo 4 and as you can see /halo 4 looks much better than Reach. Halo 4's does a great job of detailing the scenery so that you really get an amazing feel of the environment that your in at the time whether it's the moss on some rocks or a slight fog that you can see off in the distance.

     Halo 4's campaign had to be on of the best campaigns in a halo game so far. They did an amazing job developing all of the characters. They gave Chief more dialogue to help connect to him as a person and by doing that they puled you into the ending. Not to mention the way they developed the new characters that they brought into the campaign such as Lasky who was the main character of the Forward Unto Dawn Series that 343 released prior to Halo 4's release. Not only did they give you development of the character's background they furthered his development with the choices he made withing the campaign it's self. Then of course there's Cortana. She's been with chief from the start and has not only assisted him but formed a special bond with him, unlike one of any other AI and its recipient. From the very beginning of the game they set the tone that one of your main objectives was to save Cortana. This was best showcased in the cut scene when she reveals to chief that she is dying and when she actually does die the mood of that moment is conveyed very well through all of the way the characters were developed

Halo 4!!!!!

     Halo 4 is almost here, there are only 4 more days to go until whats will probably be the most anticipated game of the year finally releases. I know that this is my 4th blog post involving Halo 4 which hasn't even come out yet but this game really is a big deal. Halo is the game that made the Xbox famous. I know it sounds kind of bias but to be honest it's true. when the original xbox cam out so did halo and ever since then Halo has been the single highest grossing game franchise excursively for Xbox. Last year Microsoft celebrated the 10 year anniversary of the Xbox along with the 10 year anniversary of Halo Combat Evolved. What kind of milestone celebration would it be if the new owners to the Halo tittle didn't make a high definition remake of Halo combat evolved that also gave the option of switching in between the new graphics and the original graphics with just the touch of a button. Microsoft even has a count down to Halo 4 on the Xbox 360 dashboard if your connected to Xbox live.
    But enough about that lets get back to the actual game. Halo 4 is coming out on election day here in the U.S. and everyone who plays halo is excited. The amount of people who will be taking November 6th off to "vote" is going to be through the roof. There is no doubt in my mind that this is going to be the biggest release day of the year. Halo 4 will probably even win E3's game of the year award this year.

Forward Unto Dawn

     This blog post is going to be a little bit different than my others. Rather than being about a game this post will be about a new show found only on Machinima prime's youtube channel. The new show is a live action series called " Halo 4 Forward Unto Dawn. This is a new show that premiers a new episode every Friday! This series is free to watch and only found on Machinima Prime. this series is being released by 343 industries, which is the company that is making Halo 4. This series is a side story that takes place years after Halo 3. The war against the covenant has ended and the only threat the UNSC seems to face are a local resistance group. That is Until the Covenant launch a surprise attack. When all hope seems lost master chief comes in and helps to clear this innovation the likes of which this new generation of marines has never seen before. It's hard to tell just how far into the future this series is set, but I'm guessing it's based at least 20 years after the war because the new marines have never heard of the Spartan program or the Covenant. I don't know of a single Halo fan who has watched theses videos and no likes them. this series is  astonishing. I honestly didn't think it was going to be that good because it was a nonprofit series and because of Halo the movie being canceled again 2 years ago. However watching the first episode quickly changed that. This series is now biggest highlight of my week.
                                 

                           

Assassins Creed 3 Is Here!

The long awaited continuation of the assassins creed series has finally released! At 12 am today the game was released to an ecstatic crowd of fans. This year has been really good for games because it has been one amazing release after another and this is no acceptation. Assassins creed 3 has to be the one of the best games of the year hands down. The controls are incredibly smooth with well placed command buttons. This latest installment has made countering multiple enemies even easier than in previous games. Along with this games amazing controls it's graphics are absolutely stunning. Assassins creed 3 is definitely pushing the Xbox's capabilities to the max. The amount of visual detail that has been put into this game is ridiculous. You can tell as you play just how much effort the designers put into this amazing virtual world.

      Compared to the other games the world here feels so large. everything about the game just looks so free. Even better way you traverse through obstacles is a lot smoother. The way Connor moves is incredibly fluent and more diversified than in the other games. Now you can climb up mountain faces and grip onto angled ledges. Not to mention the new feature of being able to bound through trees which you couldn't do in any of the previous games due to the charter's backgrounds  Along with the movement being upgraded the way that they progressed the story line is amazing. When you start the game it gives you a recap on what happened  in the first few games that summarizes them so well you could play just this game and still know the main plot of the entire series withing the first 5 minutes. I have nothing bad to say about this game at all. Personally I think that this game deserves a perfect 10 out of 10 rating.

Dishonered

             This long awaited game was released yesterday October 9th. Dishonored is available on Xbox 360, PC and PS3. The game has an amazing storyline. you play Corvo who is the body guard to an empress and her daughter along with being a distinguished hero and skilled assassin. Unfortunately that all lost when a group of mysterious assassins kills the empress and kidnaps her daughter Emily. Corvo is then blamed for the death of the empress and kidnapping of  Emily and is sentenced to death by overseer Campbell who admits to orchestrating the cue that killed the empress just before he sends you to your cell. But as all protagonists you escape from the jail before your execution is carried out. from there you meet up with the organization that helped you escape from the jail and set off on a quest to find Emily and place her atop the thrown and bring down and right the wrongs done to you, her and to avenge the death of the empress. Upon seeing game play for Dishonored f dis honored i can tell you that it us a very smooth running game with amazing graphics and an astonishing story line. The only flaw i have seen with the game is that some of the textures don't load as quickly as the rest of the game. for instance you may be in a building and there might be a random door with no real wood like texture almost like a washed out brown slab. however it doesn't happen very often which so it doesn't really take away from the feel of the game. Don't just take my word for it either IGN is a big influence when it comes to game reviews and they scored this amazing new game as a 9.2 out of a possible 10 (http://www.ign.com/games/dishonored/xbox-360-112932).

Resident Evil 6

                 Yesterday marked the long awaited release of Resident Evil 6. the resident evil series is one of the oldest continuing game series around right now. when the first Resident Evil game was released it was release on the original Playstation system. However it very easily out lasted the system and has kept the interests of die hard fans through out the years as the games evolved to the newer systems. Resident Evil 6 was released on both the XBOX 360 and the Playstation 3 which are currently the two biggest game consoles around right know. The game stays true to its roots with it's control scheme and it's main characters. In this new installment of the game you like always have to fight your way through a zombie horde to try and stop the infection of the virus that is creating them. the virus is a variation of the T virus developed by the Umbrella corporation. In the campaign you follow the different stories of three main characters as they try to put a stop to the infections spread. You can play as Leon, Chris and Jake in the campaign and uncover their stories. Even though this game was highly anticipated by many it has been receiving poor reviews. these reviews mainly complain about how it's more of an action game now as apposed to it normal action horror qualities that i has been made famous for.

                    Assasins creed 3 is yet another look into the history of Desmond miles' ancestors. If you follow the series then you know that Desmond is a bartender who kidnapped the the Abstergo Corporation. He's then told he can use a machine called the Animus to relive the memories of his ancestors. In the first game your got to play as Altaïr ibn-La'Ahad a disgraced assassin who lived in Britain during the middle ages. Then in the second game you got to play as Ezio Auditore da Firenze a young nobleman from Florence Italy in the Renaissance. The game then follows Ezio through the rest of his life in the games Assassins Creed Brotherhood and Assassins Creed Revelations. Now begins a new chapter of the Desmond's past as a half British half native American assassin who's given name is Connor (Ratohnhaké:ton) Kenway. Connor lives in America during the revolution and helps fight the british during the revolution.Connors objective is not to keep America from falling to the British. His main mission is to eliminate the members of the Knights Templar in the British army.

Borderlands 2

         Borderlands 2 is a game that picks up after the adventures of the original vault hunters in the first game. Borderlands 2 brings a totally new outlook on the planet of Pandora where the game takes place. In the original border lands which released back in 2009 the planet of Pandora was a practically dead desert planet. However the Pandora we once knew has changed. It is know populated with large cities made by the Hyperion corporation while looking for an extremely rare and valuable element the sprung up all over Pandora after the original vault hunters opened the vault in the first game.

        With this new atmosphere comes new characters. In the first game your character choice consisted of Brick the beserker, Roland as the Soldier, Mordaci as the Sniper/ assassin and Lilith as the Siren. The second game now offers a new cast of characters to pick up where they left off. This new party consists of Axton the commando (soldier), Zero as the number (sniper/assassin), Maya as the new siren and Salvador as the Gunzerker (beserker). These characters are burdened with the task of finding the new vault and stopping it from falling into the hands of the main villain Handsome Jack who hopes to use the power of the new vault to bring order to the savage planet.

Halo 4!

    Halo 4 is the long awaited continuation of the Halo series. When Halo 3 ended it  was thought by many that there wouldn't be a Halo 4 and that Halo 3 ended the legacy of Halo's main character Master chief. That being said any and every long time Halo veteran was absolutely ecstatic to find out that their favorite spartan was making an epic return. Ever since Bungie gave up the right of this fantastic series to 343 Industries many fans have been skeptical of this "new" company even though 343 had been partnered with Bungie throughout all of the Halos. Regardless of skepticism  343 has now gained the trust of the Halo community since the halo 4 multi-player Beta was made available for anyone to play at RTX and PAX.

    343 has introduced new enemies into the Halo 4 universe that have fans itching to play. The enemy that has most peoples attention is the forerunners. Forerunners have long been apart of the Halo universe. They have always been portrayed as this highly advanced race that lived eons ago but had disappeared. They were the ones who created the fabled Halo rings for which the series is named. With these new enemies comes new weapons. theses weapons include the light rifle, scatter shot, and 3 more weapons whose names have yet to be released.

New games coming out soon

       In the coming months multiple games are coming out that will interest anyone with a game console. These games are Borderlands 2, CoD (Call of Duty) Black Ops 2 and Halo 4. All of these games have drawn a lot of attention in the gaming community. These games are all long awaited additions to stories that left players craving more and now they'll finally get what they want.

        Borderlands 2 is set to release Sept.18 and is the sequel to the original game which first hit consoles back in 2009. This game was one of the first to bring RPG (roll playing game) elements to a first person shooter. Borderland made a huge splash with it's story and colorful AI character that could be located throughout the game. such as Doctor Zed, Scooter, Mad Moxxi, General Knoxx and everyone's favorite little robots, the clap traps.These fun characters brought a large comical side to the game that game it massive replay value even though the only game play was limited to 4 player Co-Op campaign.

     Also coming out soon is CoD Black Ops2 which comes out November 13th. This game has been much anticipated after some information about it was leaked around earlier this year around April. It's the sequel to last years CoD Black Ops which was Treyarch's last addition to the Call of Duty Franchise. Last year people fell in love with Treyarch's rendition of their Nazi Zombies game play mode which was made famous when it first appeared in their previous game CoD World at War. Many are also looking forward to the future based story of the game which is a major jump from the franchise's tradition of focusing on past wars like WWll or Vietnam. As well as conflicts relevant today like Iraq and the possibility of war with the Russians.

      Last but most certainly not least is Halo 4 which comes out on November 6th. Halo 4 starts a new Trilogy that pick up where Halo 3 ended. Since then Bungie who was made famous from the trilogy gave up their rights Halo and gave them to 343 Industries who had partnered with Bungie in the making of all the Halo games. When they gained these rights after the release of Halo Reach 343 announced that they were going to create Halo's 4-6 and create a new trilogy picking up where their predecessors left off. Halo 4 has since then been made playable at conventions such as RTX and PAX and has received nothing but the best reviews from long term veterans of the universe who have played since Halo Combat Evolved Releases 10 years ago.
